PCAO’s Statewide Network Quarterly meetings are scheduled for the following dates:
PCAO Statewide Network Meeting Friday, August 15, 2008 Nationwide Children's Hospital Join PCAO for our next quarterly Statewide Network meeting scheduled for Friday, August 15, 2008 from 10:00 AM - 2:15 PM at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Stecker Auditorium. This meeting's focus is "Empowering Youth: Opportunities for Change." The two groups that will be highlighted at the meeting is PEACE and the OHIO Youth Advisory Board. PEACE: Protecting Every Abused Child Everywhere is a youth driven program that teaches youth about child abuse and neglect, peer relationships and dating in an effort to prevent child maltreatment. PEACE works from the philosophy that teens have a voice and need to be heard so they can help stop the violence, not perpetrate it. OHIO Youth Advisory Board: Overcoming Hurdles in Ohio Youth Advisory Board (OHIO YAB) is a statewide organization of young people (aged 14-23) who have experienced foster care. The OHIO YAB provides a statewide voice that influences policies and practices that effect all youth who have or will experience out of home care.
